Okay, this is interesting. I can’t control who in the house may accidentally pick an app related to HDHR while Mythtv is recording. Roku and FireTV along with my Samsung TV all have apps for HDHR.

So It’ sound like I need to implement this for my HDHR regardless of not planing to use multiple apps.

Right now I have Quatro set to allow recording of 2 shows each, so I get a list of 8 available tuners. All of my major local channels have sub-channels for things like MeTV. Somewhere I read that this was the proper setup and I’ve not had issues. I do have cases where I set a program to record longer than normally required so I get all of the program if a show starts late. At the same time I have the next program on the same channel start recording. So I get 2 recordings that overlap, but the recordings do contain all of the program I wanted.

So this brings the question about setup of the script. All of my tuners are OTA USA. How should I set this up?
