If using mythtv 29 or later (can't remember about earlier versions of 
mythtv) you can see which input was used to record a program.

Watch Recording screen, move to a program and then press the "i" key 
(letter i) TWICE (the first press gives basic information, the second 
press adds  more details) you might have to scroll down  to see the 
"Recording Input" line.
