Just to close this thread, since making those changes, I have had no
recurrence of the 'Failed to set channel to . Reverting to
kState_None'  messages.  I have also stopped using this environment
for Live TV and one or other (or both) of these actions has resulted
in there being no recurrence of the failed recordings.  Still battling
with the video card but thats another thread....
