You are probably correct about nux-dextop needing to update since Centos 
7.5 is so new. I build MythTV from source so I haven't had to deal with 
any repo issues.
However, I just looked on my system and I have the following installed:

exiv2.x86_64 
0.26-3.el7                                                     @cr
exiv2-devel.x86_64 
0.26-3.el7                                                     @cr
exiv2-libs.x86_64 
0.26-3.el7                                                     @cr

That @cr is the Centos-CR (continuous release repo). That is kind of 
like 'testing' and should end up in the normal Centos repo at some point.
