[mythtv-users] HDHomeRun Quatro: any bandwidth issues?

Nick here from Silicondust.

No problem running multirec with 4 tuners with HDHomeRun Quatro.

Craig and Marco are correct... the full-mux bandwidth of ATSC, including 
padding frames, is 19.2Mbps. Add IP overhead and you hit ~20Mbps. 
Padding frames are stripped with Mutlirec so actual bandwidth will be a 
little lower.

No problem running Quatro on a network where everything else is GigE. 
Quatro is a data source (the data is from Quatro to the rest of your 
network) and there is no bottleneck sending packets from a 100Mbps 
device to a GigE network.

BTW - I started using and coding for MythTV back in 2005/2006 - the 
first HDHomeRun was designed for Linux and MythTV.
