You need to use mythtv-setup to scan for channels. Once you have sime
channels set up, you can change the setting for teh card to a valid
channel number.

It uses the frontend settings. If you run the frontend on the backend
system, you can use frontend setup appearance settings to specify to run
in a window and provide the window size and position. You cannot make
the window resizable, but you can set it to run in half the screen. You
can also specify a window border if you want to be able to move it or
minimize it.

I don't use packman but it is easy to install mythweb manually. no
compiling is needed. See
https://www.mythtv.org/wiki/Build_from_Source#Install_MythWeb . I wrote
those instructions, and I used them recently. I am running php7.2 with
no problem. The instructions are for ubuntu but I think they should work
the same on other distros.
