Some channels are 720P and some are 1080i. All works great. This is far superior to my 3rd Gen Core i3 Ivy Bridge NUC or my RP3 B+. It’s as good as my Core i7 desktop with a Nvidia GT710. So I’ve found my solution.

I tried testing the Shield directly plugged into my UHD TV (4K) via HDMI. That changed the Recommended video settings to 4K 59.940 Hz.

The only problem is the Audio. In this setup the UHD TV sends the audio to AV Receiver via optical cable from the Digital Audio Out of the TV. At first I got audio on SlingTV and Prime Video but not Mythtv. I could get audio during the setup wizard test speakers, but not in playing the test videos, or anything else. If I set it to Stereo and unchecked Dolby, it would work. I don’t have up-convert checked, but it still sounds like I have 5.1 sound.

Any ideas??
