I have now mythbackend.log.

locate mythbackend.log

or even

locate *.log | grep myth

shows nothing.

I use the same tuner on 2 different computers, and it seems to me that 
on the 2nd computer there is no problem with recordings. But I am not 
sure because I do not use the 2nd computer very often.
