I did this - and now working for the front 3 speakers.

When doing the "test" via myth or "speaker-test" - the OS seems to assume I
only have 3 front speakers.

When playing a movie - it seems to throw it in the back but I am thinking
that's different. It may be re-channeling it just like it throws a stereo
sound in all speakers?

The only time the test throws the signal in the perfect way is when under
myth audio "advanced configuration" I select "stereo only PCM" option.

However, when I do that - it doesn't seem to play my songs under Myth
Music.

So at this point I unselected it and it's playing as if i have 3 front
speakers (while playing the sound DOES come out from rear - only the test
doesn't work)

I added the 8 channel config in my asound.conf (I don't have a file called
~.asoundrc)
