I have three fist generation dual-input OTA HDHR units which are still
going strong.  A couple of years ago I saw a good price on a 3rd generation
HDHR OTA so I bought it as a backup (improvement?) and it is sitting on a
shelf collecting dust.   The 3rd generation does not perform anywhere near
as well (for me) as the first generation -- on two of my channels I get
artifacts every couple of minutes, which does not happen with the 1st gen
units (even plugged into the exact same coax).  I have tried various
different firmware versions, and some are worse than others, but none solve
the problem.
