[mythtv-users] Using mythbuntu with VLC

Dear all

 

I'm trying to use VLC with mythtv (mythbuntu 16.04).

 

But when I try to use it to run a sample video I get the following error
message appearing in VLC:

 

VLC is unable to open the MRL
'myth://<hostname>/SampleVideo_1280x720_1mb.mkv'. Check the log for details.

 

 

Any inspiration?
