Not dumb--it seems to support H.264 encoding, which is a big plus. This 
same company has other products which even do H.265.

Supporting LPCM audio does not necessarily mean it's more than 
2-channel. Considering that none of the specs tout that it does handle 
more than two, it's unlikely to be the case, in my experience. None of 
the screen shots I could find for any of their products seem to show 
more than two channels being available. I'd love to be proven wrong, though.
