You want to run a mythbuntu instance in a container? Is your backend dedicated to mythtv, or does it do other stuff too? If it's dedicated to mythtv, it seems you might as well just install mythbuntu on it rather than have an extra layer of operating system on top. I currently run my backend under kvm on a virtualization server that has a handful of other vms as well, that works fine. You really need an external network tuner if you want to virtualize mythtv though, I don't think it will work out very well if you have PCI based tuners.
