That worked!  Good call -- thank you very much.

Once I'd got in, I changed the Theme Painter option in settings from 'Auto' to 'Qt' and now it works without that command line option.

You've saved Christmas! -- now we can watch TV instead of having to talk to each other or play silly games :)

Meanwhile I'll attempt the equivalent update on a Raspberry Pi-powered front end...
