Yes... but the note in the link about not being able to run lirc
"scripts" i. e., irexec is plain wrong. You can still use irexec using
the kernel decoding - that's the lirc devinput driver.
You might need some better overview. Perhaps the beginning of [1] could
be helpful, dunno.
Following the /dev/lirc0 - default driver track: if you are able to use
irrecord to create a new config file using irrecord you have so many
things working that this becomes more amd more strange. Could you please
raise the loglevel in lirc_options.conf to at least 'debug' and post (a
link to) the resulting journalctl output when starting lircd and trying
to display some irw output (pressing remote buttons)?
