[mythtv-users] best method to upgrade 28.1 to 29 on ubuntu 16.04

It's been a long time since I've done a change of the mythtv ppa and
upgrade to a new mythtv branch.

What is the best way to do it to ensure a minimum of problems?

possible options:

* apt-remove myth*? then remove the old ppa, add the new one, and reinstall?
* add the new ppa, remove the old ppa, then do a dist-upgrade?
* add the new ppa, remove the old ppa, apt-remove myth*, then reinstall?

or something else?
