[mythtv-users] HVR-2200 as a PVR-500 replacement?

Hi,

I would like upgrade my PVR-500 PCI card with a PCIE card. HVR-2200
seems to have dual encoders and allows composite (A/V) input. The
linuxtv page
(https://www.linuxtv.org/wiki/index.php/Hauppauge_WinTV-HVR-2200) seems
to suggest that it needs an old specific kernel.


Anybody knows if the card works with newer kernel. I only need the
Analog side of the card (for composite/audio recording). If this card is
not a good choice is there any other PCI express card which is linux
friendly?
