[mythtv-users] Unexpected gotchas with Digital transmission

I spotted this in El Reg this morning:

Don't take the sentence in the URL literally. This piece has some information that may become 
important to all of us: The fact that analog TVs were always designed for backwards compatibility 
but digital TVs don't work in the same way at all.

The writer lost two channels overnight because the broadcaster decided to change transmission from 
MPEG-2 to MPEG-4, presumably leaving the channel in the original multiplex. Unfortunately, his TV 
couldn't do MPEG-4.
