Apologies for jumping in mid-thread, but you clearly have a broken
configuration as the backend is reporting. This needs to be fixed
before anything will work.

First check that the HD tuner is connected to the correct video
source, and ensure that the starting channel for that source exists.
Both of these are configured in mythtv-setup.

The cleanest way to avoid teething issues is to start completely fresh
- "Delete all video cards", and "Delete all video sources" in
mythtv-setup. This will completely remove any existing channel
configuration. Add the HD video card, create a new video source and
then scan for available channels. Check you've got the channels you
expect, and then exit mythtv-setup, start the backend service, and
fire up the frontend.
