[mythtv-users] new 0.28 upgrade video playback slows down and/or stutters

On a system upgraded to 0.28 recently, along with a change in the
nvidia driver from 362 to 340, we've started noticing several
frontends have the issue with tv recording and live tv playback where
the video will slooooow down with the audio either just going away or
stuttering. skipping forward or back causes playback to reset and play
normally.

Anyone have any thoughts on what to look for in troubleshooting?
