Not sure if you were responding to me, or the thread in general.
My suggestion was to pick up a cheap ethernet to wireless bridge, and
connect the PI to it using ethernet.
Basically, using the bridge as you would a wireless dongle... no real
advantage over a usb wireless adapter except perhaps driver support, usb
bus speeds (though I think the ethernet port shares the usb bus?), no power
draw on the pi, and you can place the bridge in a better location for
signal or aesthetic reasons.
