It still sounds like a resource bottleneck and the most likely are
network and disk-IO. Can you add an extra network card dedicated to
your homerun? You need to supply DHCP on it and 100Mb should do. You
maybe could place an old further unconnected router in between to
offer the DHCP. Before I did this I had sometimes quality issues.
You can also try to place LiveTV data on a different disk.
