One of the advantages of the SiliconDust HDHR devices
is the community that has grown up around it.  In past
environments I have found the Android app "Hdhomerun Signal
Meter" is a useful tool (if you have a HDHR) to determine
the signal levels in real time (including while in your attic
or on the roof) and aim accordingly.  However, just as a
reminder (for the non-EE/physicists on the list), the
the human body can impact the signal.  For the most
accurate results, step away from the antenna..... (while
making sure you do not step off the roof).
