Who would you call a respected vendor. I think these are the specs:

5V 2.5A regulated power adapter (higher A rating ok).
2.1mm plug, center positive.
Max 5.25V @ no-load.
Min 4.75V @ 2.5A.
Noise <= 100mVp-p.
