No file system is perfect, but ZFS is the
file system choice for when you absolutely,
positively, need to be sure that the data
has integrity.  But it comes at a different
cost.

btrfs may someday be there but right
now losing data on raid5/6 arrays does
not make one think it is quite ready for
prime time.

And, of course, the best file system
in the world can disappear in a puff
of smoke (fire), or theft, so off-site
tested backups are required if you
really care about the data itself (and
not just the integrity of the on-disk
copy).  Personally, as it is "just TV",
I do not do off-site backups for my
MythTV content, but I understand
some people may have a different
use case.
