Hi Folks.

I am running MythTV 0.27 for quite some time now on Ubuntu 12.04
sucessfully.

After upgrading to Ubuntu 16.04 and MythTV 0.28 some problems came up.

The most important one is that i am unable to watch live TV after the
most recent upgrade to 2:0.28.0+fixes.20161106.1434df8-
0ubuntu0mythbuntu3 over 2:0.28.0+fixes.20161023.7f8f168-
0ubuntu0mythbuntu3 from the PPA.

I can no longer connect to LiveTV via MythFrontend nor via Kodi
(LibreElec) client.

The other thing is that i see constantly mysql busy reading while
mythbackend is running since i upgraded to ubuntu 16.04 & mythtv 0.28.

mytop always shows queries like the following running:
"Sending SELECT title, subtitle, description, category, category_type,
starttime, endtime, subtitletypes+0,audioprop+0, videoprop+0, seriesid,
programid, partnumber, parttotal, syndicatedepisodenumber, airdate,
originalairdate, previouslyshown,listingsource, stars+0, season,
episode, totalepisodes, inetref FROM program WHERE chanid = 12302 AND
manualid = 0 AND ( ( starttime >= '2016-11-17 15:20:00' AND starttime <
'2016-11-17 16:05:00' ) OR ( endtime > '2016-11-17 15:20:00' AND
endtime <= '2016-11-17 16:05:00' ) OR ( starttime < '2016-11-17
15:20:00' AND endtime > '2016-11-17 16:05:00' )"

and
"DELETE FROM eit_cache WHERE chanid = ? AND status = ?"

which results in mysql constantly reading from the disks.

Any help would be appreciated.

Kind regards

Hauke
