I just installed the current snapshot and playing with it in a VM. You
just need to read the README and install the required perl modules. In
Ubuntu the packages are called libxml-parser-perl for XML::Parser and so
on. I always use Synaptics to find the right package. For
tv_grab_sd_json I had to install XML::LibXML additionally. It was not
mentioned in the README and the installation succeeded without it, but
there was an error message when configuring the grabber.

Now I'm fighting with the xmltvid's. Is there somewhere a translation
available between the station ID's and the channel name? The xmltvid's
get populated if the callsign matches the name from SD, for all other
ones I have to assign them manually.

I took screenshots from the terminal window when I configured the
channels and compare them now with the resulting tv_grab_sd_json.conf.
It's a bit tedious...

Before I switch the grabber in my live system, is there anything which
needs to be done? Does the duplicate matching work with the previous
recordings? How about backing up the program guide in case something
doesn't work as expected?
