Only one day. You set the recording rule to only keep one recording and delete the oldest. It'll delete the first one when it records the second.

Well with a bit more work, you could create some recordings that record from (say) 9:00 to 9:01, 9:30 to 9:31, and so on. That would be sufficient to block out other recordings (unless you have some very short programs).

And as pointed out, if your quantity of recordings allows it, detach some tuners. Eg, if you can cope with only 2 tuners, then you only need two recordings, not four.
