How about setting a manual recording rule for a channel you won't be watching ? Set it high priority so it will bump any other recordings to other showings. As long as the loss of signal doesn't make the recording fail (stop), you'll get a useless recording but it will have forced the scheduler to move everything else. If you set it to keep only one recording, and delete older ones, then it'll automatically delete each recording the next day when it starts the next one.
