[mythtv-users] HD PVR and FreeBSD

Hello,

I want to use FreeBSD as mythtv backend with HD PVR has the tuner.
Unfortunately, FreeBSD does not support the usb tuner so I was wondering
what is the best way to use it.

I have thought of the following ways:
1. Run a Linux virtual machine inside FreeBSD using Bhyve and expose the
USB tuner to the virtul machine.
2. Use a Raspberry Pi running raspbian as a secondary backend with primary
backend on the FreeBSD machine. Pi will have HD PVR plugged in.

Anybody has a view on this or tried something like this before?
