You could try go into the Setup->Appearance, and start putting values in
the offsets and widths to see if you can get it right.
Also you could try forcing your TV into 1920x1080 mode
Are you using hdmi audio? Make sure the settings for Dolby surround,
DTS, etc are unchecked.
If ALSA:default is unavailable in the drop down list you can type it in.
You can use aplay -L in a command line window to get a list of ALSA devices
