I have built a debian installation for MythTV Light 0.27 on Raspbian
Jessie, for Raspberry Pi 2 or better.
MythTV Light is my name for this install which installs everything in
one package and does not install database server or services. It
installs the complete compiled code plus a menu item to run the
frontend. It does not include plugins. I could do a plugin package if
anybody is interested. I do not know how well the plugins work on the
Raspberry pi

Get it from this page:
https://github.com/bennettpeter/mythtv/releases/tag/v0.27.6-66
You can download the deb file from there.

Install the deb file using
sudo gdebi mythtv-light_0.27.6-66-g38885f0-0_armhf-jessie.deb
if you do not have gdebi, get it using sudo apt-get install gdebi-core
You can uninstall the mythtv-light package using sudo apt-get remove
mythtv-light

Outstanding issues that are Raspberry Pi specific:
1. Some audio cutting out during fast moving scenes if there is a large
OSD present (e.g. The Info page of mythcenter theme).
2. Not clearing the screen before displaying a letterbox or pillarbox
picture (associated with this it may display Please Wait when resolution
of the picture changes).
3. ATSC subtitles do not work.
4. Momentary audio cut out the first time invoking an OSD.

I will be working on fixing or improving these outstanding issues. Let
me know if there are any other problems with this package.

I am not focusing any effort on eglfs, this package is designed to run
under X.

Peter
