I noticed the same thing when using X (xcb versus eglfs).

Peter's build uses X and requires a different video playback profile
from the Lawrence's build that I used in my setup tutorial.

The video playback profile for Peter's build should be:

  Match criteria:     >=          W:  0     H:  0
  Match criteria:     <empty>     W:  0     H:  0
  Decoder:            openmax
  Max CPUs:           2
  Deblocking filter:  yes
  Video renderer:     openmax
  OSD renderer: solfblend <-- this is different
  OSD fade:           no

On Next screen choose:

  Primary deinterlacer:   Advanced (HW)
  Fallback deinterlacer: onefield <-- this is different
  Custom filters:         <empty>

Do these settings help?

Curtis
