There have been reports of mysql configuration changes
too. Try this:

$ cat /etc/mysql/conf.d/mythtv.cnf
[mysqld]
#bind-address=0.0.0.0

and see if the bind-address been commented out like the above, or removed.
Or changed from whatever you had there...
