investigating this a bit, and here is a link indicating the new version of this device is actually transmitting data using rtp on port 5004.

Looks like it could be used with the ip tv stuff in mythtv. vlc was able to view it directly with a url like:

rtp://@239.255.42.42:5004

I have ordered a v3 one of these on amazon… interesting!
