Funny you should mention this.  I am sitting at my desk trying to debug 
this very same issue right now.

I am also on Fedora 23 x86_64 w/ 2 HDPVRs and the 4.3.x kernels.  I am 
not using lirc at all however.  My FC23 system was very stable with the 
4.2.x kernels.

I just downloaded the last 4.2.x kernel from Koji in hopes of resolving 
the hangs based on the same Debian error report.

In my logs for mythbackend, I am seeing this error:

I am not really sure where to go other than open a ticket with the 
Fedora team.
