And there is some (looks to be about 1023) size
limit on the log(s) available on the device, so if
the device stays up long enough, or has enough
tuning activities, you may see only the recent
entries.

I seem to recall someone had written a program
that went out every so often and pulled the logs
from the HDHR device(s) and preserved them.  If
long term log preservation is important to you you
might want to try to find that program, or write it
yourself.
