[mythtv-users] Mythfrontend will not start

This is frontend and backend machines both upgraded from Ubuntu 14.04 to
16.04 and .27 to .28.
Actually I just did clean install on frontend.
I think I finally got the mysql problems squared away on backend. I can
run through mythbackend setup and it runs myfilldatabase and mythbackend
starts.
However, the frontend will not start. This from the log on frontend:

I read
https://www.mythtv.org/wiki/Configuring_Frontend#Starting_the_Frontend
and renamed the ~/.mythtv directory
It also says If you see a screen which asks for your Country and
Language, then the frontend has failed to find the backend. This could
be because your backend is not running, or the backend is on a separate
network from the frontend. Also there could be a firewall preventing
communication
That is what is happening.
I have specified 192.168.0.105 in mythbackend settings, I believe there
are two fields for that on one page.
I left IPV6 at the default.
the frontend is at 192.168.0.163
the frontend can ping the backend:
