Actually, there are four tuners inside the HDHR3-CC, one
is dedicated to the OOB stream (and has a lower frequency
range, and a different decoder type), and the other three used
(usually) for the content streams (for NDS cards, which use
in-band management (rather than OOB), one of the tuners
is/was stolen for that functionality).

A simply way to test the device is often to use the HTTP
interface to capture the stream

Lets presume you have a virtual channel 705.  Run three
instances of the following:

    wget http://<ip_address>:5004/auto/v705

And then you can look at the logs, and the tuner status
on the web interface of the tuner.
