Hello,
Would it be possible to get someone with physical hardware that has an
nVidia card to test the 16.04 ISO? (can be downloaded from
http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/mythbuntu/daily-live/current/ )
We're getting reports that the nVidia driver isn't installing during the OS
install, and need to gather some logs as to why.
Some instructions for how to do the install and gather the logs
1. Boot live disk
2. At menu select to try mythbuntu without installing
3. Right click desktop and open terminal
4. Run 'ubiquity -d'
5. Install as normal, notes:
1. make sure to pick nvidia driver
2. Enter a password you don't care about being public (it will be in
debug logs)
6. After install finishes, reboot and see if it's using the proprietary
nvidia driver.
7. If it's not, please file a bug like this: #ubuntu-bug ubiquity That
will collect all the installation logs.
8. Please share the bug number (we'll need to re-assign it to the proper
package).
Thanks,
Thomas
