[mythtv-users] HD-PVR Power Adapters

My oldest (2.5 years) HD-PVR 1212 power adapter died abruptly this morning.

The closest thing I have on hand is a universal 3-12v 1.3A adapter.

It seems to be able to power the HD-PVR okay at 6v, in that it finished 
the last 20 minutes of one recording.

Should I replace that with a proper 5v 2A adapter, or have people 
experienced long term success with a universal adapter at 6v 1.3A?
