Forgot to mention that, no... I stared at it for a while trying to jiggle
the cable which didn't help but I did notice a periodic "blip" on the
switch, but only about every 30 seconds. I also tried connecting it
directly to a computer assuming it was smart enough to auto-switch and no
lights on the computer ethernet port either.
