Stephen you are a genius. Or else very good with MythTV. Switching
from Qt to Auto fixed the problem.
I have a new smaller problem but I can live it: that is switching to a
new menu set (e.g. to "setup" from the main menu, or back, or to the
main menu after watching a show), there is a fairly long (~15 second)
delay. But like I said, I can live with that.
But in the meantime, you just saved me $40 and/or a lot of fan noise.
