Are you asking about WMC, or the issue that W7 only has
somewhat less than 5 years of future support (in which case
you could upgrade to W8.1, and get another 3 years or so
of support)?

Longer term, some hope for alternative viewing methods, but,
as usual, it is hard to make predictions, especially about
the future (a little more than 8 years ago few were thinking
about smart phones with multi-touch interfaces, either).
