It's been a few years since I've looked at the 4000, but IIRC the
device has two separate frontends but they shared a TS bus, such that
only one could be used at a time.

As a result, you would need to make sure both the DVB-T and Satellite
inputs are in the same MythTV input group.  This will prevent MythTV
from trying to use both at the same time, which is what would likely
cause unexpected behavior.

All that said, the app shouldn't crash even in this case.  If it
crashes, then there is some other bug in the code which should be
investigated.  It's possible that putting the two frontends in the
same MythTV input group will avoid the circumstances that cause the
crash though.
