I just experienced this same issue.  What I ended up doing was use a web 
browser to access the tmdb.org website and find the correct movie.  From 
the web site, I could get the correct TMDB ID and title.  I used the 
edit details option to insert these and then did a retrieve data.  It 
then found the correct information.  For some reason, just putting in 
the TMDB ID did not work, it needed the title.
