Attached is a script that I use with my hdhr3-cc and my hdhr4-2us. I
found a similar script somewhere online, but can't recall where (and
didn't note it)

It depends. The cable companies really are not configured to help with
cablecard devices, since it is an infinitesimal fraction of their
business.

I had a headache with charter and the hdhr3-cc in central michigan, and
a basically trouble-free setup with cableone in north dakota. One
difference (besides my understanding) in the two was cableone sent two
technicians to do the installation, while charter gave me the
(defective, it turned out) equipment to install and only later sent a
tech out.
