It's a 'big brother' thing. Google are amazing at creating tools that 
make people 'want' to willingly give them their private information.

I use them for search, but would not use them for maps, email, calendar 
etc etc .. and I'd definitely never trust them with my OS! That's why I 
stay clear of Android.

I know 99.9% of people on the planet don't feel the same way, and I'm 
comfortable with that :-)
