Hi John,
No offense, but I feel like we're talking two different languages here.
To resummarize:
- Interlaced NTSC has a picture rate of 59.94
- An NTSC recording that is re-encoded with ffmpeg lowers the picture
rate to 29.97
- An NTSC recording that is re-encoded with avstodvd retains the picture
rate of 59.94
I'm not talking about non-standard DVDs or (de)interlacing artifacts.
My point is that mytharchive (which uses ffmpeg) is losing temporal
resolution.
