If it always causes a CPU dump like that one, you could just grep the
log file to see if one has happened.  But it would be much better to
get the bug in the driver fixed, if at all possible.

Have you tried a full power off instead of just rebooting?  I have a
USB tuner that can cause problems if I just reboot, but is fine if I
power off for long enough for all the capacitors to decay so there is
no voltage left on the motherboard, then reboot.
